PROJECT STORY
Still Work In
10 Years?
The Best Pool Designs Think Beyond Today.
When your pool and landscaping are designed together, every detail works better, today and for years to come. The Bennie family now has a backyard that works beautifully for their young family—and is ready for the future.
- Nundah, Brisbane
The Bennie family wanted more than just a swimming pool.
With three energetic young boys, a much-loved Rottweiler and plans to one day extend their home, they needed an outdoor space that would work beautifully today while still supporting the way their family will live in the future.
Rather than designing the pool in isolation, Cityscapes planned the entire outdoor environment as one connected project. Every level, pathway, retaining wall, garden, entertaining space and future building connection was carefully considered from the beginning.
The result is a backyard that works effortlessly today and is already prepared for tomorrow.

Council restrictions on the private road easement meant the original pool design in the sloping grass area could not be approved.
The clients were concerned they wouldn’t be able to have a pool at all.
We needed to find a solution that worked within the existing footprint and met all council requirements.
Rather than focusing on building the largest possible pool, we focused on creating the best possible outdoor lifestyle.
A compact plunge pool became the centerpiece, with generous entertaining areas, an outdoor kitchen, synthetic lawn and layered tropical landscaping.
Every element was designed to work together as one connected outdoor living space.
Excavation & Demolition
Great design isn’t always about the engineering.
It’s about understanding the home, the land and how our clients live.
Great design comes from knowledge, creativity and experience working together.
