Smart Design for a Challenging Site
Thoughtful design and clever engineering came together to create this elegant backyard retreat in Yeronga. Originally designed as an above-ground pool, the project was redesigned and constructed at ground level to comply with Brisbane River flood level requirements, ensuring the finished result met both council regulations and the homeowner’s vision.
The clean lines of the pool are enhanced by premium Silver Travertine coping, frameless glass fencing and a full-length seating ledge that stretches along one side of the pool. Soft landscaping, synthetic turf and a separate tiled entertaining area create a seamless transition between the pool and garden, giving the entire backyard a calm and contemporary feel.
Finished with a premium “Salt and Pepper” pebble interior and complemented by beautiful Ubud Wavy waterline tiles, this project demonstrates how practical design requirements can be transformed into a stylish and inviting outdoor space.
